Characteristics

You are now looking at a collection of three grinders and three types of pepper that will open the door to a whole new world of flavors and aromas.

We chose the color of each grinder so you’ll always instantly know which one to reach for when you want to freshly crush black, red, or white Kampot pepper.

Our natural grinders are designed to become a centerpiece in your kitchen. Their shape was crafted to fit perfectly in any hand and prevent slipping. The top is comfortable to grip and provides excellent feedback from the grinding mechanism hidden inside. Create an uncompromising set that can handle every peppercorn and salt crystal with ease.
You can also add a stand made of premium walnut wood to your grinder set.

The set also includes three basic 20g packs of Kampot pepper — black, red, and white. Each variety offers a unique taste and aroma you won’t find in typical supermarket pepper.

Black pepper releases notes of eucalyptus, camphor, and thyme when ground, accompanied by a scent of lime peel. These gradually transform into a coastal aroma with developing fruity tones. The dominant aroma is peach and nectarine, supported by hints of pine and the earthy tones of Cambodia’s mineral-rich mountain soil.

Rare red pepper is an explosion of fruity tones with a gentler spiciness. It begins with notes of rose and rosehip, which then shift into dried cherries. After two to three minutes, more characteristic Kampot pepper aromas develop, such as citrus fruits, dried mandarins, and the earthy crust of sourdough bread.

White pepper is a delicate yet still bold caress of the taste buds. Once ground, it reveals aromas of camphor, sage, and cedarwood, complemented by subtle hints of mace, grapefruit, and other citrus fruits. After a few minutes in the mouth, you may detect undertones of nutmeg, thyme blossom, and lemon balm, all supported by cedar and black tea.

Grinding mechanism

The heart of the mill is the ceramic CrushGrind® grinding mechanism.

Which can grind peppercorns or salt evenly in 14 different coarseness levels. The entire patented mechanism comes with a 25-year warranty, ensuring that this mill will last.

Maintenance

By adjusting the coarseness of the grind, you influence the pepper’s flavor profile.

The smaller the fragments, the sharper the pepper’s taste will be. Conversely, larger fragments will release more of Kampot pepper’s unique exotic tones into the dish.

When refilling the grinder, never use bare hands, instead pour the loose peppercorns directly into the chamber from the package using a spoon or funnel. Don’t forget to clean your grinder regularly. Never use water or chemical cleaners for this. A cloth, a small brush, and a drop of olive oil will do. Always keep the grinder away from the sink and be careful when using it above steam.

Materials

All three mills are made of selected natural wood.

Specifically, black-brown ash, brown walnut and light oak. Each mill has a unique wood grain and a special surface treatment, thanks to which each of them will last you for decades.
