With their experiences in South Africa, where this type of dried meat has its origins, they have become some of the leading specialists in its preparation. As a result, they continuously strive to improve their methods and explore new ways to create the perfect biltong, with Kampot pepper being their loyal companion in this endeavor.

Composition

Red Kampot pepper, found in this product, is a specialty of Kampot plantations.


At these plantations, the peppercorns are left to ripen until they reach a deep red color full of fructose. They are then harvested and sun-dried, giving them their characteristic dark reddish hue.

Rare red pepper is an explosion of fruity notes with milder pungency. Initially, notes of rose and rosehip dominate, which gradually give way to dried cherries. After two to three minutes, the most characteristic aromas of Kampot pepper begin to emerge, such as citrus fruits, dried mandarins, and the earthy crust of sourdough bread.

Ingredients: beef, apple cider vinegar, coriander, pepper, garlic, salt, whole red Kampot pepper (1.25%). The product does not contain any allergens or substances from the World Anti-Doping Code List of Prohibited Substances. Store in a dry and cool place in a tightly closed container, at a temperature of up to 25°C, and do not expose the meat to direct sunlight.

Characteristics

While everyone is familiar with classic jerky, which consists of small pieces of dried meat, biltong is relatively lesser-known.

Biltong is a specially prepared dried meat that is sliced into strips after the drying process, unlike jerky. This makes biltong incredibly juicy, flavorful, and authentic. Due to its thicker slices, it closely resembles fresh meat. It is primarily made from beef, but you can also find biltong made from other meats like lamb, antelope, ostrich, or game.

Compared to jerky, the ingredients used to season biltong are different, giving it a unique flavor profile. We decided to incorporate the best of South Asia into the special preparation process, with the addition of red Kampot pepper. The result is a truly global taste experience.
